Atlantic Puffin (Fratercula arctica) taking off from the edge of breeding site. They seem to enjoy the ability to stand and survey the breeding site around them. They rest and stretch, and it also forms a good landing sight before returning to the nearby breeding burrows. Bright colouring dominates the bird in the breeding season as in this image. The behaviour is also indicative of the breeding season.
